Unexplained problem of ctintrfc.dll

According to Creative, if the computer has a Creative Jukebox Zen and Windows Me,  Jukebox Zen NX, Jukebox Zen Xtra or Jukebox Zen USB 2.0 ctintrfc.dll file can be come across,. Creative’s Knowledge Base has no explanation for this problem. According to Creative this problem can be resolved by updating the Windows Me. This can be done by opening Internet Explorer and then clicking on the Tools menu, Windows Update to visit the updating service of Microsoft.

There are seven variants to the Ctintrfc.dll file. All of these are from Creative Technology Ltd. Three of them are listed below:

1. A file size of 64 kb has its location in [%PROGRAM_FILES%]\creative\shared files\ [%PROGRAM_FILES%]\dell\dell dj explorer\ [%program_files%]\creative\shared files\

2. A file size of 0 bytes has its location in [%PROGRAM_FILES%]\creative\creative nomad jukebox zen xtra\nomad explorer\ [%PROGRAM_FILES%]\creative\mediasource\detector\ [%PROGRAM_FILES%]\creative\shared files\media sniffer\ [%program_files%]\creative\creative nomad jukebox zen xtra\nomad explorer\ [%program_files%]\creative\creative zen touch\nomad explorer\.

3. A 64 kb file has its location in [%root%]\program\creative\creative zen micro\zen micro media explorer\ [%PROGRAM_FILES%]\creative\creative zen micro\zen micro media explorer\ [%PROGRAM_FILES%]\creative\mediasource\detector\ [%program_files%]\creative\creative zen micro\zen micro media explorer\

Errors and solutions

‘Ctintrfc.dll file could not be found’

Uninstall the program totally. Do not reboot. Open the ‘My Computer’ icon, navigate to the location c:\program files, and delete the folder, which contains the software ‘Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen’ and then say yes to all the options asked for. Navigate to the following folders and delete all the contents:
c:\documents and settings\username\local settings\temp
c:\windows\temp

The ‘Show all hidden files & folders’ option must be checked in the Tools or the folder options. Open My Computer and see to that, that it’s checked and is under the ‘View’ tab right at the top of folder options. After that you need to reboot. Then check if reinstallation is working.

‘CTIntrfc.dll could not be located’

CTINTRFC.DLL is can be related to Creative or Creative Mediasource. The following locations can be checked on:
